Can I improve the security of my home by installing laminated glass units?

Within the course of my working life, I have attended a few thousand properties that have unfortunately suffered a burglary, my experience has been that homeowners are often surprised of how easily toughened glass units have been shattered by burglars to gain access into their property.

It is not that widely known but a high number of burglaries are committed by gaining access through the glass units themselves. Having laminated glass fitted instead, although not unbreakable, does offer effective resistance against access being gained in this way, PAS 24 compliant products which form part on New Build regulations have laminated glass fitted for this reason.

There are homes where a laminated glass upgrade into the existing frames would be cost effective and a good choice of security enhancement but if your home has a number of vulnerable areas or large glass areas that could be easily accessed by a burglar then other security enhancement options or technologies are most likely going to be the more cost effective choice.

MY BIGGEST PIECE OF ADVICE FOR ANYONE WHO VISITS THIS PAGE IS FREE AND WILL NOT COST YOU A PENNY…..WHAT IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE THING THAT CAN BE DONE TO KEEP TREASURED POSSESSIONS WITH THE OWNER???…..IN MOST INSTANCES BURGLARS GO STRAIGHT TO THE MASTER BEDROOM, THEY TAKE CASH AND JEWELLERY, WATCHES ECT, EVEN WITH AN ALARM RINGING THESE ITEMS CAN BE TAKEN IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES. THE LONGER THEY ARE IN THE PROPERTY THE HIGHER THE RISK OF BEING CAUGHT.

JUST BY KEEPING THESE ITEMS OUT OF THE MASTER BEDROOM AND CONCEALED SOMEWHERE ELSE IN YOUR PROPERTY, ITEMS THAT ARE TREASURED AND CANNOT BE REPLACED ARE BETTER PROTECTED.
